Pick the size that matches what you will run

RAM is the deciding factor — a vanilla world needs little, a modpack needs considerably more. If you are unsure, use the advisor below the price list.

Included with every plan

  • Full panel access plus SFTP
  • Installers for game versions and mod loaders
  • Nightly automatic backup with 5 days of history, plus self-service backups
  • Network-level DDoS protection
  • No player slot cap — performance is the limit, not a licence

Worth knowing

  • A game server does not get its own IPv4 address. It runs on a shared address with a dedicated port, or behind a domain.
  • A vCore is a cap on a shared physical processor, not a reserved core. RAM and disk are dedicated.
  • The number of manual backup slots is set per service and visible in the panel.
  • Performance with hundreds of players depends on plugins, version and world generation — no single number covers every case.

How billing works. Prices are per month of operation, and that is how they are charged — once a month the price of the whole billing period is taken from your account credit. Credit is topped up in advance in the client area; if it is not sufficient on the billing date, the service is suspended. The provider is not VAT-registered, so the prices shown are final. The service is provided by Jiří Viták (Company ID (IČO) 21766177). Terms of service · Privacy policy · Legal notice

What this is based on

  • The newest versions are the most memory-hungry.
  • Paper is efficient, so we treat it as the baseline.
  • Add-ons add memory overhead, so we allow a reserve.

Assumptions

  • The estimate assumes one world and a normal render distance (view distance 8–10).
  • It does not include a separate database, a dynmap or other processes running alongside the server.
  • The recommended size grows with player count — above roughly 40 concurrent players, choose one tier higher.

This is an estimate, not a performance guarantee. If you are unsure, send us your actual requirements and we will advise on those.

Getting started

How to start a Minecraft server

  1. Pick a plan

Based on software, plugins and player count. The advisor above estimates a plan and shows what it is based on.

  2. Order in the client area

Create an account, top up credit via GoPay and the server is created automatically once paid.

  3. Choose a version and connect

Pick the version and software in the panel; players join on the address and port — or on your own domain via an SRV record.

Running a server elsewhere?

Move the world, plugins and configuration over SFTP. If you are unsure, we will help — the scope is agreed up front.

Software

Paper, Purpur, Fabric or Forge?

For a plugin server (economy, land protection, minigames) Paper is the default — faster than Vanilla and it runs Bukkit and Spigot plugins. Purpur is a Paper fork with extra settings.

Mods need a mod loader: Fabric for lighter and performance mods, Forge and NeoForge for large modpacks. Server and client must run the same game and loader version.

  • Vanilla, Paper, Forge and Fabric from the panel installer
  • Purpur, NeoForge and server packs as your own JAR over SFTP
  • Version or software changes through a reinstall in the panel
  • Take a manual backup before upgrading — the automatic one runs nightly (last 5 days)
Who it is for

What these servers suit

From a private world for friends to a public community. The difference between plans is mostly how much memory the modpack eats and how many players connect at once.

  • Survival and SMP worlds for a closed group
  • Public servers with economy and land protection
  • Forge or Fabric modpacks
  • Creative and building servers
  • Minigames and short-lived events
  • A test server alongside production
Managing the service

What you can do in Pterodactyl yourself

Day-to-day administration does not go through support. The panel covers everything routine operation needs.

Minecraft server backup management in the panel
  • Restart, stop and start the server
  • Change the game version or mod loader through a reinstall
  • Edit server.properties and plugin configuration
  • Upload a modpack via the file manager or SFTP
  • Create a backup and restore a world
  • Watch CPU, RAM and disk usage
