How to use the generated MOTD

The MOTD is the text players see under the server name in the server list. The generator turns your text and colours into an RGB gradient and shows the code in several formats.

Pick the format for where you paste it: server.properties, a plugin config (&x format) or a plugin that supports MiniMessage.

  1. Type the text and choose the gradient colours.
  2. Copy the code in the format that matches where you paste it.
  3. After editing server.properties, restart the server so the new MOTD loads.
FAQ

RGB MOTD generator

Why are my colours not showing?

Usually the code is in a different format than the place expects — an &x code pasted straight into server.properties, for example. Use the format for that place and restart the server.

Where do I change the MOTD in the panel?

In server.properties (the motd= line) in the panel file manager, or in the config of the plugin that manages the MOTD.
